Sun Pharma Q2 profit declines 36% to Rs 1,989 cr
Pharma major Sun Pharmaceutical Industries on Friday reported a 36.36 per cent decline in consolidated net profit at Rs 1,988.53 crore for the September quarter, dragged down by a one-time expenditure related to the proposed acquisition of Organon and litigation expenses in the US.
The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 3,124.95 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries said in a regulatory filing.
Consolidated total revenue from operations in the second quarter of the current fiscal stood at Rs 16,198.71 crore as compared to Rs 14,478.31 crore in the year-ago period, it added.
The rise in revenues was driven by an increase in formulation sales in India — up 17.3 per cent to Rs 5,552.3 crore — accounting for 34.5 per cent of the total consolidated sales for the quarter.
Total expenses during the quarter under review were higher at Rs 12,287.83 crore as compared to Rs 10,780.62 crore a year ago, the company said. (PTI)

Motherson Sumi’s Q2 profit grows 35% to Rs 223 crore
Auto component major Motherson Sumi Wiring India Ltd on Friday posted 35 per cent growth in net profit at Rs 223.37 crore for September quarter FY27 as increased content per vehicle and orders for new models drove the company’s revenue higher.
In the year-ago period, the company’s net profit was Rs 165.34 crore. EBITDA grew 33.6 per cent to Rs 374 crore. Revenue from operations rose to Rs 4,053.83 crore from Rs 2,761.86 crore, according to an exchange filing.
EBITDA margin contracted to 9.2 per cent during the quarter from 10.1 per cent in the year-ago period. Total expenses during the quarter increased by 47.8 per cent to Rs 3,755.64 crore as cost of material consumed jumped 55 per cent to Rs 2,905.46 crore. (PTI)

Welspun Living Q2 net profit jumps multi-fold to Rs 169.66 cr, revenue rises 12.3%
Home textiles major Welspun Living Ltd on Friday reported a multi-fold rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 169.66 crore for the September quarter of FY27.
The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 14.86 crore in the July-September period a year ago, according to a regulatory filing.
Its revenue from operations rose 12.3 per cent to Rs 2.838.12 crore in the second quarter of the current fiscal, compared to Rs 2,440.91 crore in the corresponding period a year ago.
Total expenses of Welspun Living stood at Rs 2,636.77 crore, up 8.42 per cent year-on-year.
Its revenue from the Home Textiles segment increased 15.82 per cent to Rs 2,689.02 crore.
Similarly, its ‘Flooring’ business was also up 19.3 per cent at Rs 216.23 crore.
Total income rose 16.86 per cent to Rs 2,869.90 crore in the quarter under review.
In the first half (H1) of FY27, total consolidated income from operations of Welspun Living stood at Rs 5,698 crore, up 20.21 per cent year-on-year. (PTI)

Zee Entertainment Q2 profit drops 40.4% to Rs 45.6 cr, revenue up at Rs 2,247 cr
Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd on Friday reported a 40.4 per cent year-on-year decline in its consolidated net profit to Rs 45.6 crore for the September quarter of FY27, on account of higher advertising and promotional spends and impact on advertising revenue.
It had posted a net profit of Rs 76.5 crore in the July-September period a year ago, according to a regulatory filing.
However, its total income jumped 12.6 per cent to Rs 2.247.2 crore in Q2 FY27, from Rs 1,995.6 crore in the corresponding quarter of the preceding fiscal.
The revenue growth was “driven by Digital Business”, said Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd in its earnings presentation.
ZEEL’s total expenses stood at Rs 2,184.1 crore, up 16.15 per cent YoY, compared to Rs 1,880.3 crore in the second quarter of FY26. (PTI)

Bank of Baroda posts record high profit of Rs 6,532 crore in Q2
Bank of Baroda on Friday reported its highest-ever quarterly net profit of Rs 6,532 crore, registering a growth of 35.8 per cent in the second quarter of 2026-27 financial year.
Its profit was Rs 4,809.39 crore in the July-September period of 2025-26. The bank’s net interest income (NII) in the quarter under review expanded by 9 per cent to Rs 13,026 crore, according to a stock exchange filing.
The lender’s domestic advances were at Rs 11,87,944 crore, a growth of 13.5 per cent year-on-year, while global advances were Rs 15,12,448 crore, growing by 18.3 per cent.
The bank further said its domestic deposits increased by 16.6 per cent to Rs 14,83,521 crore in September this year.
Global deposits too grew 16.4 per cent to Rs 17,45,435 crore. Gross NPA ratio improved to 1.78 per cent in Q2FY27 from 2.16 per cent in Q2FY26. (PTI)

Indian Oil’s Q2 profit nearly triples on LPG compensation
Indian Oil Corporation reported a nearly threefold jump in second-quarter profit on Friday, helped by government compensation for domestic LPG losses despite higher crude prices.
The state-run company’s standalone net profit rose to 216.30 billion rupees ($2.28 billion) in the quarter ended September 30, from 76.10 billion rupees a year earlier
* Revenue from operations rose about 30% to 2.63 trillion rupees, helped by 72.43 billion rupees received from the federal government as compensation for under-recoveries incurred on domestic LPG sales during April-September

Trent shares jump over 5% after strong Q2 results; m-cap rises by Rs 7,950 cr
Shares of Tata Group’s retail arm Trent Ltd on Friday ended over 5 per cent higher after the firm reported a 25 per cent year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit for the September quarter.
The stock climbed 5.20 per cent to settle at Rs 3,015.10 on the BSE. During the day, it surged 6.73 per cent to a high of Rs 3,059.
At the NSE, the stock jumped 5.43 per cent to end at Rs 3,017.30.
The company’s market valuation increased by Rs 7,950.47 crore to Rs 1,60,774.84 crore.
The stock was the biggest gainer among the Sensex and Nifty firms.
Trent Ltd on Thursday reported a 25 per cent YoY increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 468 crore for the September quarter, as revenue growth and operating leverage supported earnings amid an inflationary environment.
Consolidated revenue from operations rose 22 per cent to Rs 5,873 crore in the quarter ended September 30, while operating earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda) increased 37 per cent to Rs 785 crore, the company said in a statement on Thursday. (PTI)

– Utilization down: 22% (Q1) to 17% (Q2).

– Breakeven at ∼50% utilization. Earlier target of Q4FY27 EBITDA breakeven is now delayed – no new timeline. PAT positive target still FY30.
Toys – Transition
